The [M]useum
Reverse this Dying Trend
Independent
Grade - B

The [M]useum came to fruition after lead vocalist, Ben Richter, and guitarist Geoff Ashcraft, made a move from their home state of Texas to Atlanta, GA in 2006. In Atlanta the two friends connected with drummer Josh Kirk. The trio began leading worship together and Dan Snyder soon after joined them on keys.

Together the band recorded their debut album “Reverse the Dying Trend.” As the primary songwriter, Ben Richter challenges the listener to act out your faith. The song writing also eloquently covers struggles of faith, for example, “The Anchor” talks about fear, strength, and hope in a sequential way walking the listener through a refining process. Another song of hope and inspiration is “The Only Love,” an upbeat ballad with ample emotion.

The accompanying soundtrack is as well done as the song writing. The bands MySpace site lists them as rock and melodramatic popular song. The rock is typically on the mellower side however it does well to help deliver the message of each individual song.

I would highly encourage those looking for an uplifting Christian message and good music to check out their MySpace page.
